Substantive Change Requirements Policy Update
The intent of the policy is to ensure effective planning and implementation of new initiatives or significant changes that will impact students and other university constituents. This policy update reflects recent changes to federal law and SACSCOC accreditation standards related to substantive changes.
Some important updates include notification or approval requirements for the following: implementing program changes based upon % of new content, adding a method of delivery for an existing program, entering a cooperative academic agreement with other institutions or entities, or initiating a new Off-Campus Instructional Site.
