The Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) function is part of University Compliance and Risk Services (UCRS) and is led by the Senior Director of Risk Management, Paul Fox. UCRS coordinates enterprise risk management efforts. It utilizes the COSO framework and facilitates processes for the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of risks to the achievement of the University’s mission and goals.
What is Enterprise Risk Management?
Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) is a process applied strategically across the University to identify potential events that may adversely affect the entity and to manage the risks associated with those events. Essentially it is balancing those risks and the ability of the University to continue to fulfill the critical missions of teaching, research, and outreach.
