Academic Freedom and Duties Policy
The Academic Freedom and Duties policy articulates the University’s commitment to academic freedom for faculty members, as well as expectations for the performance of their duties.
This policy updates the University’s previous Academic Freedom and Duties policy.
Overview of Policy Changes:
• The policy has been put into the new format.
• The policy includes gender-neutral language.
• Information about the makeup of the Board of Regents, the Baptist General Convention of Texas, and SACSCOC standards has been updated.
• The policy updates information about personal communications to include electronic communications.
