Nepotism Policy

October 5, 2020

The Nepotism Policy establishes the principles and procedures to ensure employees’ primary commitments to the University and the objective performance of their professional responsibilities are not adversely affected by familial relationships.

Overview of the Policy Changes:

• Establishes Human Resources as the administrator of the policy and record keeper of approvals

• Clearly defines responsibilities of each party and approval authorities

• Provides procedures for how to request approval when direct or indirect supervision of a Group 1 or Group 2 relative is needed.
