Contingent Worker Policy

The Contingent Worker Policy establishes consistency and simplicity in the review and classification of contingent workers providing services to the University. This policy and checklist will provide faculty and staff with a step-by-step process for reviewing and engaging contingent workers.

Overview of the Policy:

The policy establishes a list of individuals or entities impacted.

The policy includes definitions, contacts, and the responsibilities of each affected party; the limitations of contingent workers and responsibilities of the University; special considerations when determining the classification; and the procedures for determining classification, appropriate documentation, and parties involved.
