Bereavement Leave Policy

The Bereavement Leave Policy establishes uniform guidelines for providing paid time off for Eligible Employees related to the death of an immediate family member.

Overview of the revised Policy:

The Bereavement Leave policy was revised to include the proration of available paid time off to correspond to the employees FTE. This is consistent with how other paid leave benefits determine eligible paid time hours.

The revised policy clarifies the definition of a child to include a court appointed foster child or other dependent as defined by the IRS.

The revised policy includes updated procedures in connection to Ignite.
